Nice work on the hardware! I'm a home-machinist myself, so it's always nice to see other people doing their own work!

If it's aluminum, why not anodize it and dye it black? :)

Where the hooks touch the anodizing will deteriorate fairly quickly. Better to make them out of carbon I think. Great work tho, they look amazing.

Amazing what you can do with a band saw a disk sander and some hand tools.
I'd be stoked to ano. Is it expensive? I rattle can sprayed them today so i'm ok for a little while. A note to self and all interested. ALL of the chinese hooks should be IDENTICAL to each other. I accidentally made 2 mirror image hooks and drilled holes in the deck for them. Three steps forward two steps back DOOOOHHHH!!!

Thanks. That last tiki board you made inspired me do my best work. At one point I wanted to just spray paint the flame board flat black and ride it.

Yeah man, this board is just amazingly beautiful. One of the most striking designs I've ever seen...

I'm crazy busy in the shop with no time for building anything for myself, but if I did, what an inspiration!

Thanks. Honestly I was surprised how it ended up looking. The tint was old 5 to 1 fast epoxy that looks redish purple in the cup. The board ended up bronze though. Just assembled and waxed it today. Another week of sunny weather coming is making me nuts.
