Visco Elastic rubber tape

Does anyone have experience using visco elastic tape the full width of the ski as a vibration dampener on the front and tail sections?

There are a few manufacturers that use full width VDS in the tips/tails. I know ON3P does. I don't because it's not readily available in that width from the normal sources (BlankSlateSkis.com or SnowboardMaterials.com)
