Delamination

After getting my last pair of skis back from having the bases stone-ground, I discovered that the base is delaminating in two places on each ski. All four spots are where the two edge pieces join. I wrapped the edges around the tips and tails, and the join is about halfway into the tip/tail. I didn't see any problems before they went to the ski shop, but all four spots are very small and it's possible I missed them. Anyhow, has anyone else experienced this, or have any thoughts as to why?

Is the base delaminating from the edges? Or are the edges coming with it?
Did you prebend your tips? I wonder if the edges are just trying to relax and are pushing the base off. If it's delaminating from the edges then I'm not sure.

Edges are coming off with the base, and, no, I didn't pre-bend the tips. I wondered about that, but didn't have a problem with the two pair before....Seems like a stretch, but they were left in a car on a couple hot days, could the edges have expanded in the heat such that the two ends at the joins pushed against each other to cause the delamination? Or, could more agressive grinding by the shop to clean up the joins have caused it? Thanks.
