So we got a 30" storm last week. Oddly it hit the mountains that are in my backyard, which are not steep, and not the mountains to the north that have the potential for awesome skiing...
Our ski areas have yet to really open, so hiking was our only option to make use of this storm.
Anyway we rallied up there to goof off and had a great time.
Nothing but the finest road maintenance east of Albuquerque lol
Buddy heading into the trees, note our highest quality AT gear... lol. I think we sidestepped for about a mile...
Finally got some snow in NM

Caught a random 7" day up at Taos last Sunday. The new skis killed it!
Also found my 3 year old whiskey stash! Left it up there after a summer ski retrieval episode.... Also the rock I landed wrong off of, resulting in the lost ski lol.
It lost all its color, still tasted as nasty as normal cmist to me....
up on the ridge
super secret stash location; yes I climbed that in ski boots
