I had been think about this for a while, so since it was raining yesterday I decided to give it a test. It worked quite well. It's way more manageable than my stacked plywood crib. Cheers!

The saw was nice and fast but a router may produce a more finished product.

How long did it take to make the 2 cores? Did you have to do any finish sanding after wards? Could you put some words w/ the pics describing how you did it? That's pretty clever.

just to make sure i get this right:
you secure your cores to the crib (with screws?) and then flip it over and slide it over the sawblade a couple of times, right?
