Skis with variable camber

Post by davide »

Few days ago I had a look at book that came out recently:

I found some skis made in the 60'/70' with a variable camber.
This was done by connecting the tip to the tail with a steel cable, that was passing through some hooks fixed along the ski. Tightening the cable, the camber decreases.
It would be possible to switch from negative to positive camber.
Who will try?
It can also be a good technique to fix skis with too much camber.
