My future wife has been asking for a snowboard for the longest time. Well, she's going to have to wait a little longer. :D Instead, she gets a pair of skis (which she wanted also).

I really liked the wood veneer that Lucacasty used in his leaf skis and I was able to find some similar stuff. Thanks!

Maple core, 19oz triaxial fg top and bottom.

Still need to sand and apply polyurethane.

Great job. I'm a fan of the wood veneer tops also. Check out www.certainlywood.com. So will she get to ski on them this season?

Did you use natural veneer or engineered one?
If you used engineered veneer of which brand (actually there a re very few producers in the world)?
