Try Fluid Handling Systems.

I bought some from the Braeside store. They did a good price because it was left over off the roll. No one wants to buy small lengths of hose beacause the fittings are expensive.
Barfell also sell it

They only sell large amounts but you could rock in off the street to try get some end of roll stock

Which make of hose did you get from Crusader? I got some shipped from there a while back that was too thick in the wall to clamp it closed effectively (I think it was called waterlord?). I saw their shop when I went to get my alumium too. 5 inch diam hose was what I was looking for, but it seems to jump from 4 to 6 inch diam in Australia.
That aluminium express place will be starting to think every second person in Melbourne is making skis or boards in their shed! The cutting service is great. I just finished the drilling today for the cat track. 400 holes!!

Rapier I think it was, the bloke there was pretty helpful, I explained what it was for and that's what he recommended. Only rated to 60C so I may have to insulate it between the cat track and the hose. The hose itself is pretty ductile and will be good for air as well, I'll post pics of how I go in the Journal section when I start building the press. Ordered everything except the steel and the mould, so nearly ready to go!
You're right about the diameter though, 5" dia would have been ideal but I ended up with 6". Hopefully it will work alright, should be fine I think.

The Rapier hose should be good. I think 6 inch diam will be fine. It also gives you the ability to leave a wider aperture when you slide the layup into the press. I went with 4 inch diam and it restricts my gap between bottom mold and cat track to around 2-3 inches. With the 6 inch hose you will be able to leave a larger gap which will make loading your boards into the press much easier.
