Veneer Question!

Hey, I have been using some wood veneer on 10 or so skis now, different
species, all with NO backing. I now want to use bamboo veneer but can only find it with paper, or felt backing. I know some of you have had problems (delams) with paper backed veneer. Any ideas how to get good bonding with this product??? Thanks..KT

my friend has some bamboo veneer without paper. A full 4x8 sheet is like 50 bucks in the states.

Montucky do you know where the bamboo was purchased?

It looks like certainly wood has some bamboo veneer without a paper backing. I'd call to verify, but usually they mention if the material is paper-backed.

I contacted them a while ago and was referred to their local distributor here in washington. I believe it was specialty hardwoods in bothel. They have some great bamboo products including vertical lam sheets, vertical lam veneers, etc....

teragren and plyboo both produce unbacked bamboo veneers. I have some plyboo stuff myself.
