I have not used one before, and I doubt it could cut base material...even topsheet might be a challenge. The small popup window indicates it can cut 210g paper...that isn't very thick. (1/2 lb paper). The tagboard I use at work is 100lb.

Would be good for cutting out paper for graphics.
