core profilers, top or bottom

Has anyone considered the the differences to the core when you route the top vrs the bottom. When you route from the top you are cutting at some angle across the grain when you make the transition from the foot bed to the tip or tail. When the ski flexes, this end grain would act like a leaf spring since the flex would be compressing the end grain. Now if you route the profile from the bottom you would have the opposite effect of pulling the end grain apart.
Now this may be a moot point when you laminate FG to the both sides. Just wondering if this has been considered before when designing a profiler.
