I have several pair of old wood skinny skis whose lignastone edges are either partially or completely missing. Has anyone ever worked with this old type of edge material? Can I purchase it someplace? If I remove some lignastone from one ski, is there an adhesive which will bond it onto a different ski? Is there a subsitute material I can use to fill in the missing pieces? Other then the defective edges, these skis are to good to not be using. I hope someone can give me some information. Thanks

Look up Lightning boards on line. They build handmade solid ash skis. At one point they used to make their skis with lignostone edges, not sure if they still do. They might be able to put you on to some replacement material. Not sure where you would get lignostone over the counter. From what I know, it is primarily used as an insulator in industrial electrical applications.
