Hello,

I am super interested in building my own pair of boards! Skibuilders has a ton of excellent info for a newbie like me and has really got me amped to dive into the process...I am originally from Vermont but now live in NYC so space is pretty limited right now for building out a press, profiler ect. I also want to get some 1st hand experience before diving into the whole process blind.

"Teach a man to Fish..."

I was wondering if anyone in the NY/NE area offer workshops where you can oversee the build process for 1st time builders? Or could you recommend anyone who might offer something like this?

I could compensate you for your time, all materials and teaching.

FYI I am looking to build a rockered, powder ski a la:

Rossignol S7
Volkl chopstick/kuro
salomon rocker/czar
armada JJ
Line Mothership
K2 Hellbents

Thanks for your advice and I look forward to hearing from you!

Dexter :D

give it time. this may not be the correct section either.

but my thought is that there probably aren't any ski builders in NYC

Yeah probably not the most ideal place for ski builders perhaps. I would be willing to travel though!
