Question For 220v MEI heat Blanket Owners

What size wire supplies your blanket?

I just got my 220v 2400W blankets, and the 3' lead is 16 AWG. Seams a little small for the power consumption here.

wire size is an odd thing. It always gets me when I wire equipment that calls for 12 awg supply and then at the switch drops down to 18 or 16 awg.

Either way my mei blankets are the same and I don't have any issues.
