Cashew Resin?

Saw a counter top on green channel made of composites and bonded with cashew resin. Would this be a decent bonding and hopefully biodegradable option for this type of laminate process?
Looks like this is a friction coating component so it might not have the appropriate properties, but maybe?

Seems like they grow allot of cashews in india.

I know there has been allot of talk about soy resins but sounds like they suck or are not ready for this application yet.
