I pressed my 1st and 2nd ski over the past month.
Material
PTex Base
2 layers 22 oz triax
poplar core
p tex sidewalls and tip protectors
clear topsheet material
Definitely has some issues on the 1st ski, air pockets (especially at the tip and tail) and a concave base. I fixed many of those while laying up the 2nd ski, I will post pix soon.
Testing them at keystone over MLK weekend...

how did you do the grafics on the xperimentas? is it printed ricepaper or something like that? looks pretty cool, also with the overlapping papers/white areas

I just tried using regular printer paper. So far it worked well. When there was only one sheet the paper turned transparent. When I overlapped two sheets the paper was a little less transparent. I think the outcome looked pretty cool...
You can see a couple issues with the 1st ski. I built my press to do 2 skis at one time but for this first one I didn't want to ruin both. So I pressed them at separately.
The tip and tail has air pockets
The edge broke away from the base when pressing
I forgot a sheet over the ski when pressing the 1st one, the ski sat between the 2 hoses and cause a small hump down the length of the ski.
The base is slightly concave.
The sidecut on ski #1 was deformed when i glued the edge on
I was able to fix the 2nd ski of all these issuesi except for the base still being slightly concave. I think this is caused by not routering the core to account for where the edge is glued to the base.
I've posted pictures on
http://www.addictiveskis.com/pictures.php
and a ride report
http://www.addictiveskis.com/ride-reports.php
The ride didn't go too smoothly, the 2nd ski handled great on the groomed snow, but the 1st ski sidecut issue caused it to slide out anytime turning towards the one side.
Now I'm just debating if I should remake the 1st ski, or start fresh with a new pair.

how did you solve the air pocket problem?
