Space between molds

Post by melvs »

just seeing what everyone else has used for a space between the top and bottom molds. I was thinking around 2 inches max (I'm using 4" diameter hose) for all the materials and bladders. Anyone have an opinion on this?

with my press, I just slide a couple 1X8 pieces of utility above the top mold or below the bottom mold. this also makes it easier to slide the ski out because you can slide out the filler first which allows for more room to slide out the mold/ski/bladder.
