Kevin Pierce helping layup a vapor. http://www.burton.com/Gear/Default.aspx ... 158/video/

I was real surprised to see that the big B is using a camber adjustment system similar to mine, but with only one sheet, and what looks like a solid aluminum top block, and a solid aluminum machined mold.

And in other news they also have a new "v" rocker board with pressure distribution edges. Can you say skate banana?

Good to see their process. A little suprised to see the use of a angle grinder on the board durring the lay-up.... Correct me if this is not what I saw.

probably using it to grind the edge after snipping it, to get it to fit perfectly

I watched as many different manufacturer layup vids as I could find today. I think most have already been posted here or at graf. I was most surprised to see that a lot were laying the edge in to the mold without tacking it to the base at all. Obviously a perfectly bent edge is necessary. Elan skis and Elan snowboards both have good vids that show this.

I think the burton vid had some odd editing. I wouldn't expect that they would be willing to contaminate the base with grinder dust, so I assumed that was a prefit cut, so to speak, and not during the actual layup.

One would hope so, because as the guy said (the one doing the layup), this is the best board ever (or something like that). I know I would not want a board with filings scattered over the layup.
Wait... Maybe that is there secret weapon to their sucess!?

About half way through the, "That's It, That's All" video is Lib Tech making some boards. (It upset me to see what they did to that poor Celica)
