Are you using tip spacers?

you could fill the voids with wood putty, if you're concerned about lumps or dimples forming when you press.

I've seen this happen VERY often when planing cores. Most of the time the epoxy just filled the void and it was fine, but every so often you could see a dimple or bubble from pressing.

cut your tip filler to that shape, but you will see the line, or fill it with wood putty. It shouldnt take much work. Yea if you're looking for a perfect looking top you should probably try to repair that somehow.

you could cut your nose/tail shorter on that one, then make up the difference with more tip fill ;)

Fibreglass resin with micro-balloons

I come from a sailing background. We use a fairing compound that is made up of epoxy resin and Colodial Silica (commonly known as Micro-balloons) West systems sell it by the bag and it is pretty cheep. mix a standard resin up and slowly add the Micro balloons, keep mixing and adding until you get a nice paste. use this to fill the holes/voids.

Some people might recommend polyester two part filler (used in car repair) this stuff works well but does not bond properly with resin.

When you plane it, put a LOT of hot glue on the end to hold it in place. A nice bead around the whole tip will keep it from chipping (it can just be a pain to remove all of the hot glue after its planed, but it works well)
