P-tex 1000, differences in grades of p-tex.

Can I use p-tex 1000 as base ? Whats the differences between the different grades in p-tex?
wax acceptance/holding power and speed. I guess durability also. I think the 4000 grade is slightly harder.
Never heard of 1000 probably made in china.
Probably soft, might be extruded.
Extruded = crap fer skiing.
Where did you find it, in yurp?
