Even if it just offsets the cost of materials.

as far as offsetting the cost of materials,

if you've got your processes nailed then go for it!

if not, just be prepared for it to drain your wallet for a while before some nice sale quality boards come out.. But dont get discouraged, consider it as putting yourself through ski/board building college ;), and those first few sales receipts are your masters degree ;).
