Pre-cured fiber glass

Post by madclimber03 »

So i got an e-mail from snowboardmaterials.com about some new pre-cured fiber glass that says it has perfect glass to resin content and that it was formed under tension. Is this a good idea to uses in place of puting your own fiberglass and resin? I havent heard of anything like this before so anything anyone knows about this subject will help. Thanks

I would say the best guy to talk to about that is Jason Broz. He uses it lots. I think you have to use different adhesives when working with precures. I'm thinking more skateboard-glue type stuff but I'm not sure.

I have seen building racing skis with precured fiberglass and they use special epoxy, like rubber stuff, better for bonding, but i think normal epoxy will glue it very good, after all we are talking about fiberglass cured with epoxy...
