will a decorative fabric layer effect flex and torsion?

It seems like having a piece of hemp or other decorative fabric in the layup would definitely throw off the flex and torsion of a ski/board. what do other people think?

i think decorative fabric mostly is very thin.
it will have a bigger impact on flex than let`s say the plastic topsheet, but it`s impact will never be as big as the one of fibreglass.
so what do you mean by "throw off"?
i think you`ll hardly notice it`s impact on flex, but you sure will notice it`s impact in terms of weight!

I say because "throw off" because if you have a board figured out in terms of what you want to achieve in flex and torsion, i am curious if the fabric layer will "throw off" what you have designed.

check out my thread, i have talked about a cloth topsheet, the thread is called epoxy waterproof, and in there they were saying that having a cloth topsheet won't affect it that much because your topsheet doesn't really add much in terms of flex. Check it out and see what they have to say, hope it helps!
