Thanks for the pointers in pic posting. TGR lists the attachment, not the .jpg
worked out how to use my webspace instead

I'm guessing that phpBB can't link to images who's URLs don't end in .jpg or .gif but I can't be 100% sure that's the reason

idris, if you grab the url of the attachment and then post the pic at tgr in a thread (not as an attachment), you can grab the url of the pic in the thread, and post it here in between the img tags and it should show up.

Ski testing in knee deep fresh on the Pre du Rocher (Aiguille du Midi mid station and down). Wind too high to run the lifts higher up the mountain.
They were great in the fresh, for such a comparatively short, skinny ski.
I hadn't tuned the edges at all so they were very grabby and rather wayward on hardpack.

yes it was a fun day.
These skis and the ones and the ones MaRuMo have built (same shape jst shorter) are made from Recycled Pallets, similar to Kam's Project Pallet. Wood is unknown, but probably pine for the most part.
Core thickness is 3mm throughout the tip. 11mm max thickness and back to 3mm for the tail. No Plateau for bindings just a triangle core profile.
Layup is 400gsm UD and 350gsm (I think) Biax layers above and below the core.
Ptex2000 and 2mm edges. Vds rubber on the edges.
Core profiling was done with a thickness planer, so much easier than the router method. Our crib was two planks of chipboard with shims wedged between them. (pics soon)
Pressing by vacuum bag. Core tips and masonite layup board were pre bent.
