base material?

Post by sammer »

just a couple of quick questions.
I got some green base material from skibuilders store in dec. and it looks to be abraded on both sides.
i honestly can't tell the difference between one side and the other. could this be the case?
the other question, has anybody ever used base material for top sheet?
i've been thinking that vista orange would make a killer looking top sheet.

The green is abraded on both sides, but is waxed on one side. If you look at both sides carefully, the waxed side should be a little shinier. Also the non-waxed side has some writing on it.

The light blue base material we have is abraded both sides. It doesn't matter what side you use.

Sorry for the confusion. We've been meaning to put a note on the product pages.

You can use base material as topsheet. It's the same stuff, just thinner.
