Base / Core Locators

I have just been rereading articles about how to keep the base and the core from mooving side to side during pressing. Sounds like the popcicle sticks would work, but earlier I red about using a small tee-nut shaped plastic part that has a thin flange that super glues to the base as a locator. Does anybond know where that article is or know about using these locators.
Are there other good systems, and what is most commonly used. I need something that is school proof. Not fool proof, but school proof. Something careful kids can make work reliabley.
I am still also looking for something to connect the tip and tail spacer securly to the bases so they don't move around.
Thanks in advance
Hadley
