Cutting the base

Post by King_of_the_Hill »

i'm working on my first pair of ski's, i have finished the mould.
Now im start to size the materials and i was cutting the base with a standard hobby knife which was kinda of difficult so i tried a pair of heavy duty scissors and it works perfect, so thats my the to you all use heavy duty scissors to cut the base and topsheet!
Assumption is the base of all f*ck ups

I cut my bases slightly oversize with my Kevlar shears, and let them sit for a day.

Then I hit them with my template and a 1/4" straight bit in the router.
