Wood Veneers

Has anyone have anyone ever used wood veneers as topsheets?

I've been looking around and found that alot of the veneers are already coated with glue(peel and stick they call em). Im assuming this would suck on a ski and I'de probably have de-lamming issues on the first run.

Would epoxy bond well with the veneers?

never heard of peel and stick-stuff?!

but you can definately use a non threaed veneer, there are no problems of delamination. i`ve seen it quite often, you can coat the veneer with a layer of epoxy or some varnish or even oil the wood to seal it.
laminating and glueing it shouldn`t be a problem, the only problem i can imagine is that you could get some scratches in the wooden topsheet while waiting in the queue at the bottom of the lifts. but such scraches can be repaired easily, even if you should get some deep ones...
