Ah yes, a fellow graduate of "How Not to Build a Ski or Snowboard" formerly at TMC. Let me guess "Gabbart & ..."

Looking good! Still waiting to get my first "Another first pair" going. Hopefully by mid November.

Sunday
6 AM
155 miles to Mammoth
It's dark and I'm wearing sunglasses

Hit it!

Well, the word's out that I'm making skis and the latest contribution is shown in the picture below. Total cost... $FREE.99 plus $75 for the gas to go get it.

THANK YOU SNOWBOARDERS! Since it will only stone grind skis, they couldn't find anyone to buy it.

No not really, but who wouldn't like to say they have a Wintersteiger. The stone is almost new. I figure a couple hundred bucks in belts/emulsion and I'll be good to go. I've got access to space for a shop and a bud who's an electician. I just couldn't pass it up. It's got the edge grinder attachment too!

Once we get 'er wired in place, your welcome to partake. It may require a core group of people using it to keep it happy. I'll probably add a bench and a HotBox for the local racing crowd too. I think I can also get another smaller belt sander for the initial de-glassification.

If you are serious, I'd like to give it a try also. It sure would be worth the drive to Tahoe and I'd be sure to bring some home brew for the trip! I've never had my skis base ground until this thursday. Can't wait to see how the operation works!
