I wet the glass and then layed the carbon on top whilst it was dry then put a bit more epoxy on top to wet it thoroughly. But yes its just by hand/eye.
The 0° is carbon and the 90° is glass, thats why it looks better than the one you linked. I will try and get a link for the stuff I used and yes its from AU.
The aluminium bits are a different (split)board, I hope to press that in the next few days

That thing has got me fired up! Looks rad! I need to get building soon. I've been planing and jointing wood for days. Getting loads of core blanks ready.

I run 4 strips of it in all my boards, makes them nice and snappy and I have thinned out my cores a lot since I started using it.

Awesome board.
I'm waiting on some topheets from the USA then ready to build another pair of skis.
Got 2 pairs of skis back from the base grind on the weekend which look great.
Just need some snow in Victoria now!

Patience grass hopper ;-)
I will only be doing one stint in AU this season. A week camping on the main range and then 4 days on bogong. Cant afford lift tickets with the big move in november looming.

Out of interest, how thin are you going now? That pic showing off the mixed camber is the money shot. So good. Have you ridden any with that yet? Keen to hear how they go.

This core is 2.1/6.9/5.9/6.9/2.1 which is thinnish but I maintain the thicker sections for longer if you follow me. Also the thinning between the feel makes a stiff board feel playful.
Most of my boards have been camber/rocker/camber but this us a new mould so I have not ridden it yet.

@Goz
That carbon fiber board looks perfect. You put a lot. How stiff it is? I use only 5 to 6 strips per Ski top and botom if more I would making 2 x 4 lol
@Dtrain
you don't believe in dust collectors? Hope you wear a respirator.
