Did you cut a release for the edges? Looks like you just laid them right on top of the base.

Amazing sticks dtrain - maybe the best looking veneer skis I've seen on here! Shape looks great as well.

I agree with climberman- some of the nicest veneer skis I've ever seen. Nice work. How do you assemble the topsheet with differing veneers? Also, did you stain the "divide" on? Awesome stuff man!

Wow. Thanks for the comments guys. The veneers are just cut straight, butted up against each other and taped with a cloth tape. The logos are actually inlays of other veneers. Very time consuming.

This was the first time we pressed twice in one night. Had all kinds of friends dropping by with beer. I got pretty fuzzy. Surprised they both turned out so nice.

You stuff looks awesome man. Just had to reply because that statement sums up my CNC'ing experience exactly. Hours to make something that will get ruined in less time than it takes to hit the Estop if something goes wrong. Builds character, right?

You guys should check out some other cam software with better preview options. The stuff I have I can slow it down to exactly the same time 1:1 and see whats happening and make measurements if I need to.
Visual mill is made by the rhino people and its pretty dope, has a cad component as well so you can draw all the basic ski stuff.

Dtrain, mind divulging your veneer source? I'd love to do some veneer skis but a)don't know what I'm looking for, and b) can't seem to find any small-volume (and cheaper) source.
