Slackercruster, that was very poor judgement. I don't know the details of your arrangement and I don't need to know, don't want to know, but to bring your complaint here like that clearly shows you're not a professional of any kind. Business etiquette still exits, end user or not.
Ever hear of "Don't burn your bridges"? This bridge went down in flames.
And if it's so simple... Anyone could do it, even you?
Need a new company / person to make my custom skiboards....

Yeah.. I feel the same as everyone : I don't give a sh#t about your arrangement, the fact is you came here on an AMATEUR SKIBUILDERS forum to get a few snowblades custom made for cheap. Brazen was kind (or stupid) enough to want and help you (as well as making some money out of it, who would do it for free ???)
Now you're complaining the quality is not up to your standards, that Brazen does not follow you instructions (why don't you do it yourself already ?) and all that shit, it's pretty lame ! go see Rossignol, Salomon or K2 and get a quote !
Please someone close this thread, it's going nowhere !

Well, I didn't start this thread to bash Brett or Brazen. I just mentioned 'Brazen is not working out for me' and left it at that.doughboyshredder wrote:Pretty Brazen to come on here and call out Brazen publicly.
Unprofessional is another way to put it.
I think you are a little confued? The word 'professional' should be applied to Brazen and Brett. Since I'm an end user, I only pay for work to be done. I make no money from getting custom boards made, I just ride them.
Actually I've been most kind to Brazen and Brett. I never said a word about all the multitude of problems I've had with Brett's boards. But since you guys have made me the bad guy, let me tell you a little more about just one of the many problems I've had with Brazen's work and Brett.
Let me ask you how you would like to pay a few thousand $$ to get custom boards made and get painted ones like this?
Here are some of his Brett's painted 56's.

I couldn't figure out why the bindings kept coming loose after a few runs. No matter how much I torqued them up, they kept coming loose. Well, you can see why they come loose.
The yellow boards in the OP...their painted too.
I told Brett I did not want the painted painted boards up front, but he assured me he uses special paint that wont chip off. He told me he tests his boards by throwing them up in the air and they hit the asphalt and the paint wont chip off. After just a couple hours use, the paint is flaking and chipping off Brett's boards.

The only reason I accepted these boards was he told me he was short on $. So I accepted them to help him out. Said they were shutting off his lights. But he assured me the next ones would be right. Well the next ones never arrived. And no matter how many tries, the boards were messed up.
But all this didn't matter I was willing to pay Brett for 8 more of the 56's to replace the bad ones. (Just not painted ones - had to trash them, just wasted $$. ) I didn't ask Brett to redo them for free since his boards were messed up. Was going to pay a few thousand more for them out of pocket to Brett. I figured I didn't mind helping him experiment to perfect his build.
But, things did not work out that way, Brazens work did not get any better, virtually every board I got from Brazen was messed up, so had to cut my loses. In total, have lost many thousand $$ with Brazen.
This will be my last reply here. I'm very busy and don't have time to fool around. I just posted a simple want thread to find a builder. Out of courtesy to you guys and to set the record straight, I gave you some tidbits as to why things did not work out with Brazen.
So you decide if you want the work I can offer. If any of you want the job and can make decent, not perfect, but pretty perfect and honest boards...PM me and I'll be glad to check you out for the job.
I need a minimum of 24 to 32 boards made in 3 - 4 styles. All skiboards. The work can be done in stages over the next year or two. No rush, just do good honest work you can be proud of. Plain yellow non-painted boards. And boards that wont delam.

I'm going to lock this thread to save everyone from embarrassing themselves. A request is out, people can take their official business to PMs or emails. Any disputes between parties is none of our (the open-source ski building community) business, so that too can stay in PMs, emails, whatever.
Thanks guys.
