And what about a transparency sheet printed using a laser printer?
You think that would work? I don't know how the sheet reacts to epoxy...

Hi!

First of all, thanks for all your tips!
I manage to make my first pair of skis last weekend thanks to you guys!

Well, the purpose is not there. So I have tried to use transparent sheets printed with an inkjet printer.
The result is pretty nice. But...

The only thing is that it doesn't really bonds with epoxy when i did it with a small sample.

Given that first experimentation,

- I sanded the paper before printing (is there any use in this? I didn't have time to test it before pressing... too excited to wait anymore!!!)
- i used small pieces of transparent sheets and took care to avoid it from overlapping with the edges of the ski, so that it remained "sunk" in the epoxy

Well, I haven't tried my skis yet, so i can't really say if it won't delaminate in the end.

A small picture to give you an idea of the result:

Cool! I hope they'll hold together let us know when u tried them.

Any idees how to make the top white?

my first idee was to take a white fabric and print on but as the fabric will wet out and go transperant thats out of the pic.

what about paper? i guess it will go see-thru also...

the only option seems to be a white topsheet and sublimate the graphic on that.
the problem is that there arnt alot of co. that has a sub. press here and it seem to be quite expensive...
