desktop bandsaws are a dded joke. They shouldn't even be able to sell them, as they don't work for anything. Serious waste of money. Every time I think about mine I want to punch somebody. I thought it would work great for cutting 1/2 mdf tip and tail pieces. Uhhh, no. Can't cut a straight line, can't cut a curved line. Joke

Hahaha yep. Exact same with me. You look at it at the store and tell yourself "I don't need SUPER accurate cuts, this will just be for quick things and rough cuts". Yeah good luck. My old one used carbon blocks for blade guides, but as the blade was constantly being pushed diagonally as I tried to correct it, the blocks would wear down. My grizzly has bearings for blade guides, sooo much better.doughboyshredder wrote:desktop bandsaws are a dded joke. They shouldn't even be able to sell them, as they don't work for anything. And they're what, like $100? My Grizzly is certainly not the greatest bandsaw in the world (grizzly stuff is still all chinese made), but it certainly suits my needs. And comparing the cost to the useless benchtop saws it just makes sense. $100 for a tool you'll never use, will take up space until you sell it on Craigslist for $20, vs $500 for something you'll use forever.
I've got this one:
