If I can find a large enough piece of MDF I'll use the router bridge to make a planer crib :p
I have to find how to adjust the planer blade though, the blade is not exactly parallel to the sliding surface (0.5mm difference side-to-side)...
Thanks for all the info
My first planer did this, it was an ebay cheap'n'nasty special, was out by 1.5mm!

Found the sliding surface non adjustable but smooth.
I disconnected the drive between the two screw threads (gear and shaft in my case) that define the height. Adjusted one side until they were parallel then reconnected the drive.
There were three screw threads different between one side and the other!
Best of luck

The grip tape worked like a pro. I do need to figure a way to secure the ends though because the snipe was so bad, or i just have an extra 8" on each end.

Pre-milled camber? Yes plz!
I made a second crib to handle just that. I like the way it turned out. Unfortunately I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing and gave a the planer a couple extra cranks. That left the scrap I was using too thin to get a fully profiled test piece, after running through on both cribs.

Edge to edge thickness only varied a few hundredths of a mm. I totally satisfied with that for now.
