that cav is really messing up the mojo in your ski shop I suggest you remove it.

It's coming together. As for the opening of the press, 12.5inch will work. After you build top/bottom molds he forms, cat track, hose, you'll want 3 inches or so left over so you can insert the forms and layup.
The Cav is gonna have to go. Sell it, take the cash for ski material.

Seriously. Or if you can't sell it, donate it. There are lots of organizations that will take donated cars. Having that much more space in your shop is worth more than the car, there's nothing worse than a cluttered cramped shop

Your mold looks great, but if that is all you have for the press frame you're going to have issues. I can't remember if you said you were going to do vertical supports or not, but that angle iron will bend like its nothing if not otherwise supported.

How is the top of the frame held together? Are there similar sections of that 2x4 going sideways? Is that all welded in?
What I'm most concerned about is the angle iron twisting. Vertical loads in the middle of the top will cause the angle iron to twist outward. Vertical supports will stop deflection vertically so that's good, but you'll want something going across the top as well to stop the twisting. Again you might have already posted some of this I just can't remember.

I also just noticed your ends are just plates of steel, 1" wide guessing? You won't know for sure until you pressurize it, but don't be surprised if things get bent.
