Turns out the outlet is actually 250V 50A which, from what i have read means that there are two hot lines and a ground running to it (so prob. 240V). I know that you can run a heating element off this set up (from what i have read) but was wondering if anyone knew how it would affect the wiring to PID and SSR. Thanks

Where are you located. USA or another country?
I'm about to run to work, and don;t want to mess up the explanation because I am rushing. PM and I'll give you a good how to later.

I've also put together a few controls for other people for parts+small fee, if you want to eliminate the hassle.
