you are right, its 200 mil... my bad. Yeah, I picked the pressure by trial and error. at higher psi we get a lot of print through from fiberglass to the topsheet. Thanks for the formula!

yeah, I need to sort out some photos. The space between top of the mold (we dont have it attached to the press on top, but lay it with cattrack on the board, and then close the press) is about 5 cm. And I think sammer and you are making a great point - on the latest one I got a load of those lumps in the tips coz the wood part of the core was about 1 mil thinner than the spacer... So I reckon that is the reason, which means I need to review our core making process since sometimes we get it along the rails as well...
