That one is typically on sale for $12. I have three of them, one I've had for about 7 years now, still works like a charm. Not even for your roller thing, its just another handy tool to have if you're doing any kind of metal work (cutting or grinding)

A few things.

Your roll of Uni Glass has shipped. You and I talked about its properties, so there should be no surprises when you receive it. I honestly now feel like I'm contributing to this madness, but whatever.

A word of advice. Stand back when you hook the air up. There are some things you should just not skimp on, and I think you'll find out what those are awfully soon. Best of luck, and please dont cut off a finger...

what are your core thickness dims? Flat spot or linear taper?

my core is supposedd to be 2- 13-2

they turned out 2. 5 - 13 - 3

meh, i guess i didnt plane it down enough at first.

but the tips turned out fine

no waviness at all and just a little bit of sniping ( 1cm in length and only on the entry side. )

i got the uniglass because i need to stiffen the ski ALOT!
here in ontario we only have like 4 powder days a year and every other day its hardpack/corn/ice. so i ordered 19oz. triaxial, and i saw some carbon stringers at home depot for boat repair. so i think im all set for stiffness.

and rowen - thANKS for shipping as read, you can tell i need the stiffness.



AND i finished and tested my system today !!!! WEW!
did not use a sing drop of sealent, although i did buy it. and i only drilled one hole per hose. so im pretty stoked.

for the test i inflated them to 45 psi, andthen turned off the compressor. first listened for leaks. and then took soapy water and poured it the entire hose. only one leak that was compltely expected occured. so tomorrow im sealing of any more leaks and making the top molds.

SO HAPPY

i finally feel like all the money i ut into this is comming out,.

how wide are your skis? I don't think you will need additional uni on top of the 19oz triax..Are you setting back the core from the tip or in the middle of the ski?

revchem - already bought. using their c-somthing resing and hbf-486 hardener. they supply to a fairly local store

pluss its going to be hitting rails, walls , ledges kickers and other fun urban stuff. so, stiffness is a must.

I don't know if that epoxy is a compression molding application so I can't speak to its properties.

or like 120-87-120?

Those will be so stiff you will not be able to flex them with 22oz triax,
If they are 120 under foot i think.

not really a light kid. youve seen my pictures.

i weigh 180lbs

and 160 underfoot

i saw rev chem epoxy on the links page, and went to distibuters, and they had it in toronto, so the bottom line is that their in the industry.

I'm not sure how involved you are in the whole urban jib scene (I am not), but from what I know a stiff ski is NOT a good jib ski. And a 120 waist width ski is not a traditional park/jib ski dimension either. For the application you are suggesting, I'm not sure how those dimensions are going to fit your purpose well, if at all. I'm not trying to be negative,but instead just trying to help you get the result your looking for.

I guarantee at those core dims and sidecut dims the ski will be to stiff with an appropriate compression molding epoxy and 22oz triax.

So like 155-120-155?

I weigh 175 and put 10-15lbs of crap on no way you will be able to flex/pop those in the park.

Take that down to 11.5mm on center and that may give you the flex you desire.

Flex the core as it is now, imagine it twice as stiff. It will be like a 2x4.

Now mind you, I have only profiled about 15 sets of skis with a poplar/maple lam.
