SnoCAD-x
While i am finding the new x version to be pretty sweet, I am having trouble with the PDF format. The only printer I have is set up on my work laptop and Snocad is on my personal computer, so I have to save and send the PDF to my work laptop to print. Problem is........the template I have made is in landscape, so about 2 inches on right side of the board are cut off. Is ther anyway to rotate image back to regular so it will fit in th landscape?
Any help would eb great.

setup a network
I don't see much of a problem here... if you are capable of printing from your laptop, (instead of making the pdf, rotating to landscape (or whatever) ) just set up a network between the computers. that way you are printing directly from SnoCAD (I have yet to print my template, so I don't know if this is right, but seems logical). If the desktop has wireless, use that. Otherwise, plug a ethernet cable into each. Set up the network and allow print sharing.
Hope this helps

So if I plug an ethernet from "my" stack to the work laptop, they will communicate? or do I have to set up a network? Is that difficult?
I did print out the PDF and once all 16 pages came out, I pieced them together on the floor. Talk about a cool a$$ thing to see. Just excited because I have been doing everything longhand and it was taking up huge amounts of my minimal garage time. Now I can tinker with a ton of shapes and sizes.

someone made one called boardcrafter.
i guess if snocad doesnt work no matter what you use, you could try that.
i dont like it though because its a blatantly obvious copy of an earlier version of snocad, with some customized things here and there.
anyway just keep trying. talk to dan he can probably help you through the errors.

thermik the link on your desktop is just that, a deployment link to grafs snocad site.
Are you on line when you try to open it?
i know the snowcad-x icon on my desktop is just a shortcut to my sys32 folder java file.
if you look at the shortcut properties for that icon it should show
target type=application
target location=system32 (supposing winXP)
target =\deployment\cache\**** etc.
if not i would try to reinstall it
hope this helps.

You don't even have a legit signature, nothing to reveal who you are and what you do...
Best of luck to you. (uneva)
