cassettes

Post by camhard »

Anyone made a cassette for their press? I'm a little unsure of how to do it and how it would work. Probably CNC or laser cut it out? Any info on them would be great.

you can cnc your shape out of a second sheet, and rivet it to the uncut sheet, seems to be the cheapest way. i'm just wondering if it would hold shape over time as resin gets compacted into the gaps.

check out this video of a simple cassette -- nothing fancy and not for cap-construction skis though.

I see how that cassette works on Kam's Video... but does all the material just stay in place while it is being pressed... or do you have a special secret on how to make sure nothing shifts in the pressing process?

I just want to make sure I do this right the first time!!
