Some people have been asking if flashing will work in place of titanal... I think it's probably too thick, but does anyone know the actual size of titanal for skis? also, what type of rubber are you using for VDS? where have you been getting your titanal and how much does it cost?
Thanks,
Cameron
How thick is the Titanal you are using

as an experiment i just added a layer of thin flashing (don't know the thickness)to the top of a finished ski that was too soft. it did a great job of stiffening, but i pressed the aluminum under 100 degrees and it took the camber right out of the ski. they'll be my new powder boards i guess. seems like you want a layer above and below the core if you use aluminum, to keep the ski camber stable.
