Hell yeah! I'm definitely gonna make one of these. Nice and simple toodbtahoe wrote:Check out the hot wax machine in that video.
Step 1 - Steal your wife's thrift store electric frying pan.
Step 2 - Buy a silicon roller (Grainger?).
Step 3 - Add wax.
Makes 30 to 40 servings
Enjoy.
If anyone finds a resource to buy those rollers, please share.

euh...Well I was just thinking taht, the more layers you put, the greater the risk of delamination...but that's probably not trueplywood wrote:why/what do you think increases the risk of delam? don`t get that point...

yeah that's right...the base layer and the wood core seem to have been treated before. But how ?...ed wrote:The wood looks to have had some composite already bonded onto it?
I was guessing it's just pre-bent tipspacers...alexisg1 wrote:yeah that's right...the base layer and the wood core seem to have been treated before. But how ?...ed wrote:The wood looks to have had some composite already bonded onto it?

Does it look like they've done more than prebend the core and wet out the wood preping it for layup? It difficult to tell, but do you think its more than that? I can't watch the video here, but I did look at it this past weekend, and it seems like they use more thinner layers than we have been. Maybe the core is pre bend in a press with glass on both sides to make it hold its shape better?
