Cutting Plotter for Base material

Hey everyone,

long time no post from me.
I'm thinking about build some more skis for me and the family. Has anyone of you ever used a cutting plotter like Silhouette Cameo or CriCut for cutting the base material? There are blades for material of up to 3mm. Just not sure how well they cope with material of up to 2m long.
Any input welcome.

Cricut doesnt work, i wasted my money on it :?
