GS Race Ski
Lets see if it performs as it should!
185cm long, 20,5m radius, full camber, hollow tip, 1500g per ski, 70mm underfoot. 450g/m² carbon triax + 120g/m² flax uni to dampen. lets hope it damps as well as everyone says.
Self-routed ski ends made from ABS.

PMG very nice! I also have a GS ski in the works for next season with a similar layup using flax/CF. Did you use CF in the full width or just a strip? What did you use for a wood core? I plan on using ash, IPE sidewall. Making a damp ski is important for racing and is probably the holy grail of ski building. I'm racing on Atomic Redsters 184cm (which I happen to love). So I'm setting my expectations fairly high
I started thinking about a separate damping system like the D2 or a UVO type setup, but if the ski is already damp, then it's unnecessary.
Interesting you went with a hollow style tip. No chatter issues?
Congrats on the race!

Hi,
I used the carbon full width, the flax as well. As wood I used ash.
Regarding dampness: When I test the dampening in my workshop and compare it to my Völkl GS race ski with 2x titanal, the völkl is waaay damper and stops swinging earlier. On Snow however, I didn't feel a difference but prefer mine because it has a better edge grip and a bit less radius (21m instead of more than 23 on the Völkl).
I just llike doind hollow tip, its kind of my style. What do you mean with chatter?
