Wow, that was VERY cool!!!
When I first started into making my first pair of skis (I was in my first year at college), I got in touch with an engineer at K2, who invited me out for a tour (they were still on Vashon at the time). I got a similar experience, with a tour of the factory, and they even gave me a roll of p-tex and enough edges for a couple of pairs of skis. It's awesome to have a company open and willing (especially a local one for us PNWers!) to do that kind of thing for the young'ins!
The layup was pretty cute, with they're full-body lab coats, and sooooo gently brushing on the epoxy. Reminds me a lot of my first few pairs.
Now I just slap everything on in a rush.
I had a chuckle at Jay Inslee helping out too, ha!
