I've got the same st600, but mine has the auto feed.
Paid way too much but wanted/needed one and it was there.
It's been a pretty good machine, Platen is flat, which is a bonus on an old used machine.
Yours looks way cleaner than mine.
Good cheap belts here... http://www.econaway.com/

Sammer, thanks for the link to get belts. Do you know if I can upgrade mine to add an autofeed to it? Im hoping to get an electrician out in the next couple weeks to get a plug wired in for it then were off to the races. I have a pile of old and new boards that need a good grind.
Juke, I found this one on Craigslist in Seattle. The deal was right so I pulled the trigger on it. Wasn't really in the market for one but had to have it.

I'm pretty sure it will mount up if you can find one. It mounts where the light coloured box is in your pic. (behind the electrical cabinet).
While it's a nice option you don't really need it.
A few tips...
Always wear gloves with good palms.
Keep one hand on the tail of your ski at all times.
Stand to the side, not behind your ski as your working.
Don't let others stand behind you.
Wear eye protection.
Pick up a decent shop apron and wear it.
Put some non-slip mats around the machine.
I'm sure I've missed more than a few.
If you haven't used one of these machines you will understand all of the above when you finally do.

they made two different ST600's.
Some have the mounting holes and can accept the autofeed, some do not.
you could most likely set your machine up to accept an autofeeder if you want with some added holes and brackets, etc. But it may or may not be a direct "bolt-on"
I have an ST-600 that will not accept autofeed. Yours looks a bit shinier and cleaner, good score!!

behind your ski? do you mean standing with the belt running towards you?
I always work from the rear of the machine, the side with the feed wheel, i guess I'd call it, yes, dont ever put yourself in the line of fire!!! when it grabs a board it sends it, fast.
I dont know about an apron... I want tight fitting tucked in clothing. If you have long hair, tie it up, under your hat, whatever, god forbid the belt snags your hair, or any loose clothing, ties, laces, hood strings, etc. Just wear an old teeshirt tucked in, and yes be mindful that you're holding a a large razorblade on a high speed grinder.
If you're getting hit with water, you're in the line of fire.
The hose is there for a reason, use it often to hose off the belt and everything else.
If the hose stops working, reach into the bin and shake the pump, it gets dirty and clogged very easily. If the pump goes, you can get one from www.mcmaster.com its an off the shelf submersible pump. plug and play.
the tracking sucks... constantly have to adjust tracking. aside from that, i think every shop in existence has one or something similar
