CNC Router 8' x 10' on Ebay $1525

Post by jeff@shaggys »

Just wanted to give everyone here a heads up. We're selling a "spare" CNC router. It's just too large of a footprint for us to have two. We put it up at $1300 no preserve and just want to move it out (new machine coming in). Located in Boyne City, MI 49712. We're coming out to Denver,CO in a few weeks to pick up a new machine and could be persuaded to deliver it along the way for a decent price.

The working area is approximately 8' x 10', but I believe it could be set up for 8' x 5' no problem (there are two tables that come apart). It is setup as a sign/template machine with an air cylinder that plunges the Z axis to a certain depth (set on the machine), but an ebay special ballscrew Z axis setup could be put on it for ~$250.

It has a Perske 5hp spindle and everything could easily be run off 220v 1ph if the VFD was replaced.

I would personally retrofit it to run from Mach3 or WinCNC to simplify everything (sending G code back and forth). The X and Y axes are run with Burny DC servos on rack and pinion.
