Blizzard of Ahhssss - Greg Stump - The beginning of the modern area - and a great reminder of how far we have come

Steep - A lot of soul and you can shop it to non skiing friends without them getting (too) confused

Hahahaha, oh dear, I always forget about that movie. It's like cheesy old school skiing, mixed with softcore porn. Love it. That, and the epic chinese downhill in the end.

We have "hotdog day" every year at the resort.
Everyone dresses the part, drags out their old school skis, gets really drunk,
and then they show the movie at the pub.
Almost like Rocky Horror, people talk to the screen and recite the lines.
That movie makes me laugh every time I see it.

We also have a Chinese downhill at the end of the year.
Starts at the top of Polar peak, ends with the first person in the Griz bar.
(about 3500' elevation drop)
I think the winner last year was around 2.5 minutes

Hot Dog takes the prize for my favorite of all time. I was into freestyle when this movie came out and I think it was also the first movie I saw with boobs in it.

We have had a couple Hot Dog reunion parties here in Squaw and the cast guys usually stay at the hotel I work for. I never would have thought 25 years ago while watching this movie I would get the chance to party with Kendo, Squirrel, Dan O'Callahan, Harkin, and Rudi. Unfortunately Sunny and Sylvia never made it out.

Snowing in Squaw now with 3 to 5 expected, feet that is!
