Stack of 9 new cores blanks wait to be shaped and profiled.
It really is a shame to cover them up in the guts of the ski. I may have to do a clear top over the FG sometime to show off the cores.
Once Crown gets around to shipping my order I'll get ready to build some skis.

I glue up each pair individually using 4 way clamps.
Cores this year are ash center, maple mount stringers, yellow birch intermediate stringers, basswood lateral stringers. Sidewalls are ptex prebonded to 6mm of ash and ripped into strip that get glued on after the core is shaped.

I've been hard at work building cores and sidewalls. I now have 10 pair of cores, shaped with sidewalls attached, ready to roll for production.
I also just finished off the first pair for the year

press another pair today. vitals 185cm, 130-137-120-133-120. 35 cm rocker-reverse sidecut tip, 4mm camber and sidecut underfoot, 30cm rocker-reverse sidecut tail. powder twin. moderately stiff in the tip and tail with increase stiffness underfoot. This will be a playful powder ski that can do it all, including switch pow riding. I'll add a camber profile shot tomorrow once the glossy top coat is cured.

Thanks. I'm pretty pleased with how they look. There was a defect in the right ski. About 8 inches of edge blew out in the press. With the help of my shop guy we did surgery today. We cut about 3/4" of base away from the edge, dremeled out the edge, cut a base patch and re-epoxied everything. Perfect edge fit and the patch will grind out flat. Reprofiled the sidewall. Very nice fix.
It was nice to see that it took a lot of effort to peel back the base and we had to use a hammer to get the edge out....
